Whether you're wanting the nostalgia of 90s hip-hop, the soaring vocals of P!NK, or the absolute chaos of a My Chemical Romance pit, the stadium’s music coordinator has you covered.

🏨 Pro-Tip: Make a Weekend of It (Without Breaking the Bank)

Why rush home after the encore? Make it a full downtown experience! If you want to stay in the heart of the action but don't want to blow your entire concert budget on a hotel room, choose a hostel instead.

The Gaslamp Quarter is home to some high-rated, social, and incredibly affordable spots that are just a few blocks from Petco Park. It's a great way to meet fellow fans before the show! Check out:

  • Gaslamp Hostel: Right on 5th Avenue, known for its eclectic vibe (and rumors of being haunted!).

  • HI San Diego Downtown: Modern, clean, and located perfectly in the heart of the district.

  • Stay Classy: A bit more laid back and highly rated for comfort and value.

Quick Tips for Petco Park Concerts:

  • Gallagher Square vs. Stadium: Gallagher Square is the grassy park area behind the outfield—casual and intimate. Stadium shows (like Ed Sheeran) use the entire field and seating bowl.

  • Transportation: Take the Trolley! It drops you right at the gates, saving you $50+ on event-day parking. But if you’re staying in one of the area hostels, it’s just a quick walk to the ballpark.

  • Bag Policy: Petco Park has a strict clear bag policy. Check the dimensions before you head out!
