The San Diego Zoo is more than a zoo, it is a conservatory and breeding program for endangered animals housing more than 12,000 animals of more than 680 species and subspecies.

San Diego Beaches

Each beach in San Diego has its own personality! Head to Pacific Beach (PB) for a young, vibrant atmosphere with lots of bars and restaurants. Mission beach is a little more chill stretch of beach with Belmont Park in the middle. Ocean Beach (OB) has a fun, hippy vibe with great shopping and restaurants. Coronado is home to the Hotel Del Coronado (worth taking a peak!), the Navy SEALs, and is also a great place to rent a bike and ride around. La Jolla is where you will find the other type of seals along with swanky stores and high end restaurants. And Blacks Beach is for those who want to bare all (literally).

What about nightlife?

There is so much nightlife right outside Gaslamp Hostel's door! Check out one of the clubs, listen to dueling pianos down the street at the Shout House, ride the bull at Double Duece or check out a speakeasy. San Diego nightlife never disappoints!
